Business and Finance Committee The Business and Finance Committee acts as a liaison between the Senate and Student Organizations regarding financial matters. Any Student Organization can come to the Business and Finance Committee to request funding for programs that the organizations are holding. To do this, a representative of the Student Organization must fill out an Allocation Request Form (available just outside of the Student Government Office on the Third Floor of the Student Center). Stipulations as to what the committee can fund are listed in these forms. The Allocation Request Forms can be turned in at the Student Government Office. Once the forms are turned in, a representative from the Organization must attend a Business and Finance Committee meeting (held on every other Tuesday at 6:30PM in room 352 of the Student Center). At this meeting, the maximum amount the committee can approve is $1000. For allocation requests over $1000, the committee must approve the first $1000 of the allocation request, and then a representative of the organization must appear before the Senate to request the remainder of the amount. All allocation requests are subject to the approval of the committee and no money is guaranteed. In addition, no money is transferred from the Student Government account until receipts for the event have been turned in to the committee.

Budget Reports The Director of Business and Finance must report on the state of the Student Government Budget at least once a month to the Student Senate while the Senate is in session. Click on a link below to view those budget reports.
Committee News Student Government will not be taking anymore applications for student organization funding this semester. Allocation request hearings will start back up in the Fall semester. |
